Help
Launch a project
A name and public HTTPS link are enough. Description, category, image and video are optional. Choose Other to add your own category. You can finish your draft before signing in.
Upload a project
Choose “Upload a project file instead.” A self-contained HTML file runs in a sandbox here; a ZIP is a download. HTML can be up to 5 MB, ZIP up to 20 MB. Server apps need their own hosting.
Images and videos
Images: PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 5 MB. Demos: MP4 or WebM, up to 20 MB. An image is generated from a local video frame when your browser supports it; you can replace it. Use MP4 with H.264 for broad playback support. Add a text description of important visual or spoken content.
Your name
Anonymous hides your public attribution. Your account still owns the project. Choose your name to show your profile and include the project on your portfolio.
Share
Share opens an editable X post, WhatsApp, a copyable link and a downloadable image. X opens a draft for you to post. Social networks decide when to update cached previews; downloading the image lets you attach it yourself.
Customize
Describe colors, backgrounds, spacing and corners. Preview changes immediately, then save them to your account. This changes your view of Outroom, not other people’s projects.
The Layout menu offers Grid, Main Street and Bookshelf. They show the same projects, and your choice is saved on this device.
Waitlists
Makers can enable a waitlist when posting or editing a project. Join from its card to share your email with the maker. Your account’s Waitlists tab tracks your signups and lets you leave. Signups made without an account are tracked in the browser where you joined. Makers can privately view and download subscribers from their project.
Your account
Your collection contains your projects, saves, profile and data export. Archive a project to remove it from public discovery. Account deletion and an operator contact process are still being finalized.
